One of the toughest macro shots for me. Nikhil Walvekar pointed out this spider which was hanging upside down from leaves... when i captured it.. realized it was actually with the kill (its so small that you cannot make that out with bare eye!!).

Focusing was biggest problem (looking upword at the sky and focusing 1 mm at a time :D).. so Nikhil helped by supporing my elbows.. Fortunately i could get the wing and the eyes in the same plane of focus!!

This is ZERO CROP !! that's a bonus :)

This one is taken with 18-55 (kit lens)... hand held, no flash. Key is manual focus (lock focus to minimum distance and focus on the flower by moving your body!)

Who say's 18-55 can't give you good macro shot..

I was lucky to get two buses crossing the bridge and taking the twisting road at the same time and was also lucky to be having my small wirepod with me :) (which costs some 5 USD but is priceless for me :)

This guy freaked everyone out by sitting on the carpet... while i was kicking myself for not carrying my DSLR and Raynox.

But i think Samsung ST100 gave decent result!

I had clicked this photo early this month, with a preference to process it with texture, finally decided to do that today :)

Interesting fact: this photo was taken with 70-300... with 18-55 the sun looked too small so had to shift to telephoto and go long way away from the beach to get the sun in perspective with the cycle!! (was lucky to find someone with cycle anyway :) )

We had actually gone there in the hope to find some birds but only things we found were butterflies, lots of them.. and i did not complain.. can i?

Such a large spider, still camouflaged so well in the bush that the web was almost invisible... You will ask this is very much visible... well, that's after i asked my friend (Javid) to stand behind the web with his dark-blue / black jacket on.. giving nice smooth b/g.. with there was a large green handy.. but black is not bad either!!

This is NOT Raynox.. clicked with Sigma APO DG MACRO 70-300 (with macro mode on to let me get in as close as possible).
